Mercury's shop of wonders
- and other unusual stories
- Lovro Brlobuš
The collection of short stories by the young author Lovro Brlobuš consists of eighteen texts of different lengths, some of which are humorous, black-humorous and absurd, others are fantastic and fairy-tale-like, and especially interesting are the horror stories with a gothic twist. Although the author's style is original, the influence of certain role models such as Lovecraft, Wilde, Harms and Poe cannot be overlooked. Along with the abundance of historical and mythological references, many stories contain religious, esoteric and occult elements, and sometimes the author even parodies these elements. Mercury's shop of miracles and other unusual stories is Brlobuš's is the first published book.
