Pierre Assouline

Pierre Assouline (Casablanca, 1953) is a journalist and writer. He is the author of some thirty books, including biographies (Gaston Gallimard, Moïse de Camondo, Hergé, Simenon, Cartier-Bresson...) and novels (La cliente, Lutetia, Le portrait, Vies de Job, Sigmaringen, Golem, Le Nageur...). He is also a columnist for L'Histoire and L'Express, writes the daily blog „La République des livres“, teaches at Sciences Po and is a member of the Académie Goncourt.
