Lars Fr. H. Svendsen
Lars Fredrik Händler Svendsen (1970) is a renowned Norwegian philosopher and professor at the Bergen University Institute of Philosophy who dissects complex concepts such as boredom, loneliness, evil, freedom, work, and even fashion, and clearly explains them with ease. He has held numerous lectures all around the world and has thrice already been a guest in Croatia. He is the recipient of a number of international awards, and his books have so far been published into 29 languages in more than 130 translation, making him one of the most translated philosophers of our time. His books translated into Croatian are A Philosophy of Loneliness, Philosophy of Freedom, Work, Philosophy of Evil, Philosophy of Boredom, Fashion, Fear, What is Philosophy?, Can We Understand Animals?, and, the newest translation, published in November 2021, Philosophy of Lying.
