Ship Skoplje is a collection of twenty-five selected short stories by Vlada Urošević, an eminent Macedonian poet and novelist, that connect the miraculous and fantastic, the unusual and inexplicable, the author's belief in dreams and mystery, and his fascination with the magic of the surreal. Starting from the model of combining poetic and prose discourse, through the classic short story that promotes traditional narration, all the way to the Borgesian postmodern mystification of reality using the „found manuscript“ or „distorted worlds“ motif, the author takes us with this collection not only on a journey to unknown distant places, between the real and the imaginary – but also through the development path of his own narrative opus. As a writer, Vlada Urošević is more than ready and able to step beyond the limits of the visible, open the „doors of perception“ to some new and unknown worlds, and discover magic and some mysterious, unusual beauty in the dull reality.

Do you also sometimes hear the ship on foggy November evenings? What is it telling you? Does it convince you that distant things suddenly become close? Do you also have the feeling that we are sailing in those moments? And that in the next we will touch the already intuited form of the unknown?

Can't you, as an experienced reader, help me? Haven't you ever come across that book with a purple cover, with unusual drawings inside? Didn't someone tell you about it, didn't someone you know see it? Don't you know where it could be now? Do you have any information about it, any information that would help me find it?
