Slavica Jakelić

Slavica Jakelić is a Senior Fellow at the McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics, and Public Life at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on religion, secularism, humanism, and nationalism. She has worked, held visiting positions, and pursued fellowships at numerous interdisciplinary research institutes in Europe and the United States, has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at several American universities, and has been a visiting lecturer at the universities of Ljubljana, Graz, and Belgrade. She has participated in many international conferences and has given numerous lectures in the United States, Slovenia, Serbia, Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Croatia. She has published in leading international academic journals and has edited and co-edited several volumes. She is the author of three books; Pluralizing Humanism is her second title published in Croatian by TIM press, following Both Freedom and Belonging.
