Rhythm&Book: „Political (Im)balances“ with Nikolina Borčić

In the final edition of Rhythm&Book for this year, we will discuss politics—not just as it plays out in parliaments, elections, and speeches, but also within language, symbols, emotions, and the way we shape our worldview.

Our guest is Nikolina Borčić, and the conversation will be moderated by Vlatka Kolarović. The discussion is prompted by three books that explore contemporary politics and society from various perspectives: Trump and Philosophers, The Devil Is in the Detail, and The Light that Failed.

What can Trump tell us about philosophy? How do politicians construct their public image through language, imagery, and details? And what has become of the world in which liberal democracy was once a model to be emulated?

Set to the mellow sounds of Plazmatick’s music, we will discuss these and other topics at Crni mačak on October 13th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
