Hrvoje Jurić

Hrvoje Jurić (Bihać, 1975) works as a professor at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb, where he teaches ethics and bioethics. He is the deputy editor-in-chief of the journals Philosophical Research and Synthesis philosophica, and a member of the editorial board of several other scientific journals. He is also active in various scientific, cultural and social institutions, organizations and initiatives. As a philosopher and publicist, in addition to numerous texts in various scientific, professional and popular publications, he published six authored books: The Ethics of Responsibility by Hans Jonas, 2010; Temptations of Humanism, 2018; Text and context of bioethics, 2019; Euphoria and Euthanasia: Acute Records of Chronic Problems, 2019; Pandemic as a symptom, 2021; Trials of humanism. Second, updated edition, 2023. As a reader and writer, he has been engaged in poetry since childhood and has published six poetry books: My First Poems, 1988; My World, 1991; Nominative, 1997; On Emergence and Disappearance, 2005; i Mainly Adjectives, 2014. He won the "Goran's Spring" award for young poets ("Goran") in 1997.
