Rhythm&Book: „When history becomes personal“ with Tvrtko Jakovina
On March 25, the first gathering of the fifth season of Rhythm&Book was held at Crni Mačak. Professor Tvrtko Jakovina and Vlatka Kolarović, in a conversation about the books The Client, Putzi, and The Passenger, touched on the question of responsibility—what it actually means and when we begin to feel it. Prof. Jakovina highlighted that The Client and Putzi function as examples of archives—places where experiences are stored, but also where we return to reinterpret them.
Another question that guided the evening was: when is the moment to leave? A theme that is always relevant, and particularly vividly reflected in The Passenger.
Through reading and discussion, we opened up space for reflecting on personal boundaries, decisions, and the traces we leave behind, while the atmosphere was gently set by Plazmatick with light electronic music.
The next event is a real treat and will take place in mid-April—stay tuned for more details!
The Rhythm&Book programme is supported by the City Office for Culture and Civil Society.
