Mentor
- Communication, Knowledge, Sustainability
 - Snježana Bahtijari

The book Mentor by Snježana Bahtijari, a long-time communications, marketing, and corporate social responsibility manager in the ICT industry and an international mentor, encourages readers—through numerous concrete examples, comparisons, analyses, and practice-tested advice—to engage in critical thinking and personal action as essential components of individual development and societal transformation.
Drawing on her mentoring experience, collaboration with a large number of experts both domestically and internationally, and her strategic ability to connect vertical knowledge into horizontal insights, the author distills the most important mentoring lessons. Through simple examples, she addresses complex processes and areas, from communication, project and organizational management, and working with people, to issues of sustainable development and climate change.
The cases presented in Mentor and their solutions can serve as a kind of universal mentoring support for anyone seeking to better recognize their own abilities, weaknesses, and potential, enabling them to navigate everyday professional, work-related, or life challenges and opportunities more successfully.

The Mentor strongly emphasizes the importance of open, authentic communication as the foundation of any successful mentoring relationship and, through practical advice and examples, shows how a quality mentor-mentee relationship can foster growth, trust, and long-term development.

This book is not just a collection of texts. It is a reflection of a career, a worldview, and a woman who decided to share her knowledge with others – not from a position of authority, but from a position of a mentor. And today, when such voices are becoming fewer and fewer, her word is worth even more.

The power that modern man has been given is an unimaginable privilege of the human race, as well as its ultimate responsibility. Never before have we been able to access so much data without really thinking about it. We accept it superficially and use it irresponsibly. There is a lot of evidence. We all give life to every piece of data that appears in the digital space. We click on something that interests us for a millisecond, forget about it, and search further. Although this information is unimportant to us and we immediately forgot about it, we inadvertently gave it „mouth to mouth“ to continue its life. Until the next person who will give it new fuel with their click.
Instead of indiscriminately consuming this data universe, it is important to understand that not every piece of information we find on the Internet is necessarily useful. It will only become so when we turn it into information that has value in application. We must understand our own role and the importance of using technology to create a quality information base that only thanks to personal processing becomes useful and usable knowledge.

The advice from the pen of a recognized and well-known manager and communication expert inspires confidence because it comes from real experience, and is incorporated into well-known theoretical approaches, and represents a strong motivation, especially for those seeking guidance at the beginning of their careers or going through business challenges. In addition to providing insight into communication skills and knowledge, the book also brings many illustrative examples from practice, as well as „little secrets of an experienced craftswoman“ who has proven herself in the business world as a top mentor, communication expert, and manager.
