Laura El Makki
Laura El Makki is an author, journalist and a French producer.
In 2008, she joined the editorial staff of Le Magazine littéraire, before runing the program On n'a pas fini d'en lire on France Inter. In 2009, she graduated in French literature at the Sorbonne-Paris IV.
Between 2009 and 2016, Laura El Makki collaborated with Guillaume Gallienne on the radio show Ça peut pas faire de mal. While working on France Inter, she wrote and produced radio dramas and summer programs including the series Un été avec Proust in 2013, Les beaux esprits se rencontrent in 2014 or 1001 mondes in 2016.
She wrote a book on American poet, philosopher and naturalist Henry David Thoreau, and on life and work of the British writer Herbert George Wells. She is also the author of Un été avec Victor Hugo alongside Guillaume Gallienne and Les sœurs Brontë: La force d’exister chez Tallandier in 2017. Since September 2017, Laura El Makki has been teaching at Sciences Po. Her teaching focuses on biographical writing. She runs a writing workshop at Les Mots school.
