Jadranka Polović

Jadranka Polović is a political scientist with a master's degree and a doctorate in political science (international relations and national security), which she obtained at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb. She is permanently employed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of International Relations at Libertas International University in Zagreb. She is also an external associate at the Department of Demography, Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb. As the president of the Croatian Association for International Studies (HUMS) and an independent geopolitical analyst, she is a regular columnist on the specialized geopolitical portal Geopolitika.news. She actively collaborates with the Institute for European and Globalization Studies (IEGS) and is a member of the Croatian Political Science Society. She is the author of the book The Influence of the USA on Croatian Politics 1990 - 2000, as well as numerous scientific and professional works that explore power dynamics, international relations, and the role of geopolitical factors in shaping global policies. Her scientific interest is focused on global geopolitical and security challenges, social justice and human rights in international politics, with a special emphasis on the moral and ethical dimensions of international relationship. In addition to his academic career, she has extensive experience in editing and hosting television and radio broadcasts. From 2009 to 2018, on HRT-Radio Split and TV Jadran, she hosted shows on internal politics, international relations, human rights, civil society, culture and ecology. She participates in numerous scientific conferences and is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal International Studies.
