Pierre Bourdieu

Pierre Bourdieu (1930–2002) was a French sociologist, philosopher and anthropologist. He was director of The European Centre for Sociology and Political Science and worked as Raymond Aron’s assistant at Collège de France where he became Professor on the chair of sociology in 1981. His work was based on 20ᵗʰ century western philosophy, critical sociology and structuralism. Three books of his have thus-far been published in Croatian: La distinction: Critique sociale du jugement (1979), Ce que parler veut dire: l'economie des echanges linguistiques (1991), and Science de la science et réflexivité (2002). L'Ontologie politique de Martin Heidegger is his first book published by TIM press.
