New title: „Why not Moderation? Letters to Young Radicals“

We have published a book for all those who dare to think differently – and to believe that there is a third way between the extremes. Moderation is often misunderstood as the virtue of the lukewarm and indecisive – those who seek a safe haven between the extremes. It is not surprising that many politicians, for fear of losing elections, do not want to be labeled “moderate”. But what if moderation is actually courageous, thoughtful and much-needed?

In the book Why not Moderation? Letters to Young Radicals, Aurelian Craiutu challenges this widespread prejudice and reveals moderation as a complex political and moral virtue, deeply rooted in history, but also surprisingly radical. Through a series of imagined letters between a convinced moderate and two young radicals, the author develops a compelling defense of moderation and offers a new vision of its role in today’s world. In a time of polarization and political tension, Craiutu reminds us that we cannot afford to give up the liberal civilization and open society we have inherited. Far from being a passive medium, moderation becomes an active force for the preservation of democracy, freedom, and reason.
