Marko Šundov

Marko Šundov was born in 1970 in Split, where he completed his primary, secondary and higher education. He graduated from the Split Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, the Maritime Faculty and the Faculty of Economics, where he also obtained a Master of Science degree. He received his PhD in 2017 from the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka, where he was elected to the scientific teaching title of assistant professor in 2022. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Scientific Council for Architecture, Urbanism and Spatial Planning at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is the author and co-author of several scientific and professional articles and participates in the organizing committees of various domestic and international conferences. In 2019, he co-authored a book entitled Ecological-Social-Market Economy. He directs his social work towards finding balanced models of progress with an emphasis on the preservation of natural resources. Through scientific work, it seeks to provide a basis for deeper reflection on the need for comprehensive spatial management as a key resource for establishing sustainable and balanced socio-economic processes.
